Marinas are a challenging environment for wireless signals due to fluctuations in tide levels and materials such as fiberglass, metal and other electronic devices running on your vessel. There’s always a lot of buzz each summer about which sunscreens offer the best protection for your skin. The long trusted Consumer Reports has the latest information on the top performing sunscreens for 2011.
Nine out of 22 sprays, creams and lotions were tested. The top performing three are: Up & Up Sport SPF 30 (Target), No-Ad with Aloe and Vitamin E SPF 45 and Equate Baby SPF 50 (Walmart). The lotions were rated based on how long they take to dry, the smell of the lotion and how well they protect your skin.
Think outside the bottle! You can also wear protective clothing (tightly woven fabrics/dark colors), and a hat that protects your head, face and neck. Now that you are ready, get outside and have some fun in the sun! (Video)

The Sailing Academy has a full summer of youth sailing camps planned for this year.
Dinghy Sailing Camps
Cost: $349 (10% discount for slipholders)
Young people learn how to sail on 14’ dinghies. The camp covers water safety, capsize recovery, rigging, terminology and basic sailing skills. The beach games and fun activities incorporated into the sailing instruction make our camps fun and exciting! No experience is necessary to attend the camps (except for Racing Camp).
