September Clam Bake
Our club members enjoyed a fun filled 2010 boating season. There were four weekend cruises to many locations in the Chesapeake Bay and a week long cruise to locations in Southern Maryland and Virginia, which included Williamsburg.
Members and guests also enjoyed numerous land gatherings, dock crawls and parties at Herrington Harbour North and South. We wrapped up our season with the Annual September Clam Bake featuring clams, lobster, steamers, mussels, corn on the cob and many other culinary delights. We also enjoyed band music all afternoon and into the late evening. The Herrington South West Beach was the perfect place to celebrate our love for the Chesapeake and all its charms. The turnout was impressive and our membership has grown by leaps and bounds. Over 130 members, family members and guests participated. We all enjoyed a wonderful yachting year.  – Howard E. Johanssen, Commodore

This event was a grand success! The weather was perfect, the location was beautiful, the band was great, and of course the lobsters, chowda’, and all of the other dishes were outstanding!!
Kudos to our Yankee bakemasters!
